What products do you use?

I use various brands all well known brands (Mac, Jane Iredale, Urban Decay, Smashbox etc).  All products in my kit are tested extensively on myself, so I only use the best.

Are you fully mobile?

Yes, I am fully mobile.  I usually bring 3 kits with me and a bar stool to work from.  I also have my salon in Parnell that I can work from as well.

Do I need to wash my Hair prior to getting my Hair styled?

Yes wash your hair the night before I arrive, Please ensure your hair is dry and has no product in it. Apply Moisturizer nothing to your face without an SPF in your moisturizer (this is very important).  If you have curly hair, I will need you to straighten it before I arrive.  This will be discussed at your trial.

Do I need my own lipstick and powder etc?

This is completely up to you.  I do leave you (and your bridal party) with touch up lip colour (in a little pot with a lip brush) and powder.  This is so you can do touch ups during the day if required.

Are you available to be on hand during the photos for touch ups?

Yes I can be available, but you will still look beautiful till the end of the day, but if this is something you do require then we can discuss costs etc.

Do you work with assistants for larger events/weddings?

Yes if your event requires an extra hand I will bring along an assistant who is fully qualified and I can trust. I only work with a selected few which my hair and makeup quality standards. This is at no extra charge to you unless traveling outside normal Auckland area.

Do I need to have a trial?

For weddings absolutely need to have a trial.  This is a great time to sit down and discuss what look you are wanting to achieve for your big day.  If you have pictures etc please make sure you have them on the day.  We will try and accommodate your requested date for your trial as best we can, but in our peak season trials may have to happen during week days.

How long with my trial take?

Makeup or Hair only trials will take 1 hour this gives us time to discuss what look you are after. Hair & Makeup allow 1.5-2 hours.

How far do you travel? Is Waiheke Island included?

We travel anywhere, within New Zealand (I have traveled to Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown, Hawkes Bay) (or even overseas), depending on your location a small travel fee may be required.  As for Waiheke, there is a travel fee per artist required (this is to cover parking in the Viaduct and Ferry costs), we will also require you to organize a pick up/drop from/to the ferry or if someone is not able to pick us up, then if you can organized a pre paid taxi to pick us up.

Do I need to pay a Booking deposit fee?  When is the balance due by?

For all bookings I require a 30% fee this is required once your booking is made and secures your date you have chosen.  The balance is due a week before the wedding date via Bank deposit or in cash on the day of your event.

How far in advance should I make a booking for my event?

We would recommend as soon as possible, for a wedding you can never book too early.  If you are booking for a special occasion ie a ball, birthday etc, then ideally a couple of months in advance, but outside of peak season (Nov-March) then you can book a month out.

Any Booking Terms and conditions:

By completing an online booking form it is not a confirmed booking, please await confirmation via email. Your booking will NOT be secure until a deposit has been made. We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible. By completing any booking form you agree to all terms and conditions outlined below.

Minimum numbers:

During the peak season, I have a minimum 3 people hair and makeup (Excluding travel, trial or other).  You don't have to have 3 people but I will have to charge for 3 full hair and makeups.  Peak season runs from November to May.

Additional charges:

Persons booked for and do not show up will be charged for.

When parking at a hotel, our valet parking will be charged to your room (we have too much gear to cart up the street).  Same applies to Apartment parking in the CBD.  This applies for any assistants that I bring with me.

 

Travel Costs:

Additional small travel costs apply for areas within Auckland, I am located in central Auckland.  Travel is free for areas located on the North Shore, Auckland CBD and as far as Manukau.  Outside of these areas may incur a small travel fee.  This will be quoted to you upon booking.

 

Waiheke incurs a travel fee per artist. This includes the return ticket, parking and travel time on the ferry for 1 and a half hours. Transport once over there will need to be arranged to and from the ferry terminal. If not, a pre paid taxi will need to be organized for us to be picked up and dropped off at the ferry terminal.

 

Deposits:

Once confirmation, a 30% fee is required for weddings and the balance is then due a week before via direct deposit or cash on day. Once a deposit has been received your booking is then secure.  You will receive an email confirmation of your booking.

 

Rights Reserved:

Amber has the right to cancel any booking with email notification if the terms and conditions are in breech.

 

 

  • Cancellations:

Wedding Cancellations have to be in written form.  Cancellations of 12 weeks or less will have a 50% cancellation fee based of the booking.  If booking is cancelled less than 8 weeks from the wedding full 100% of the booking fee is payable.

Other booking cancellations, we require 14 days written notice of cancellation, less than 7 days will incur the whole booking amount.

We will have turned away other work and unfortunately this loss of income will have to be covered.

This applies to all bookings.
